As if anyone needed an excuse to hang out at the Orange Peel in the near future, another one has just come up:  the Chris Robinson Brotherhood is headed to town on November 3rd, and the famous downtown music venue will undoubtedly be packed with people eager to kick it with the touring blues rock band.

The CRB's stop in Asheville will be one of several in the southeast, including Atlanta, Charleston, and Raleigh, before they head north toward New York and Philadelphia.  Having released three studio albums since forming in Los Angeles in 2011, the group shows no signs of losing steam as they cruise ahead through the music scene. Check out all of their tour dates.

Neal Casel (Asheville, NC)© Copyright David J. Simchock Comprised of five members, including Neal Casal, Adam Madougall, Tony Leone, Mark Dutton, and Robinson himself (of the Black Crowes), the group transforms blues rock into a psychedelic experience with a funky spirit.  Their most recent album Phosphorescent Harvest includes tracks such as "Jump the Turnstyle", an old-school tune that takes music straight out of a dark, smoky nightclub and gives it a bright, modern twist.  Another off the album, "Beggar Moon", is irresistible with its laid-back, finger-snapping rhythm.  With their impressive array of infectious beats, you don't have to be a blues rock fanatic to find it hard to go wrong with the CRB's collection of songs.

Whether you own every Grateful Dead album or are new to the jam scene with a hankering for something different, you are in for a treat with the Chris Robinson Brotherhood.  Tickets are $20 in advance or $22, and it is bound to be quite the performance.  With a world-famous stage and craft brews being served within arm's reach, the only thing left to do is sit back and enjoy the show.

Doors open at 8:00 PM, show at 9:00PM.
