Hey little Hollywood...
The 2024 outdoor concert season has officially kicked off on the outside stage at the Salvage Station in Asheville, NC!
Houndmouth made their Salvage Station debut on a beautiful spring evening delivering a solid set of indie-rock which, of course, featured their popular song, Sedona (well, it's my favorite, anyway!).
This was only the second time I've seen Houndmouth, the first being a few years back at the Orange Peel in Asheville. There has been a change or two to their band member line-up, and they have definitely matured as artists since 2016 when I first saw them perform. There was a sizable crowd on hand and, as is often the case with popular indie-rock bands, their fans seemed to know every lyric to every song, which always boosts the energy of any gig (in a good way, of course).
From a personal perspective, it sure felt great to be back in the big photo pit that fronts the huge outside stage at the Salvage Station. And, if you can't tell from the photos, I had some brilliant light to work with. Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked about what lies ahead for the next few months at this iconic venue.
