It's about 75 and sunny (that would make a great song title, wouldn't it? Ha!) in Brevard, NC as I write this, and I believe I speak on behalf of the rest of Western North Carolina that I'm ready for the outdoor concert season. But...
I'm still pretty pumped for this coming Saturday's indoor gig at the Salvage Station featuring Fireside Collective and Dangermuffin, two bands I've enjoyed over the years since moving south to WNC back in 2011.
Up first at 8pm is Dangermuffin, now a four-piece who have gone through their share of lineup evolutions over the years, followed by Fireside Collective, who have also gone through a rather recent lineup change adding drummer Mike Tillis after the departure of banjoist, Alex Genova.
Fireside Collective are using the occasion to celebrate their 10th anniversary of their first-ever gig back on May 5, 2014. Dangermuffin, on the other hand, have been at it for nearly 20 years according to founding member, Mike Sivilli (guitar / vocals).
With the new lineups, both bands are sure to bring an updated energy level to the evening, not that either band was in need of any upgrades in my opinion. I had the chance to see both bands in 2023 with their new looks (and sounds), and the fans at the Salvage Station are in for quite a treat.
As for this writing, tickets are still available, but I'd expect this show to sell out, so be sure to click the button above to get yourself set up before it's too late.
Review and photo galleries to be posted here on the Front Row Focus site next week.
